Play Ludo Against AI
Play Ludo against multiple AI levels on a 15×15 cross board. Choose Red or Yellow, then use hints that match the level, undo, and replay to review launches, captures, and the run home.
How a Game Works
Ludo is a cross-and-circle race descended from Pachisi. You bring four tokens out of your corner yard, around the shared track, and up your own home stretch. This is Ludo, not Aeroplane Chess, so there are no same-color jumps or flights across the board.
Games here are Red versus Yellow, with Red rolling first. A 6 leaves base. Landing on an opponent outside a star or takeoff square sends that token back to base. A 6, a capture, or bringing a token home gives another roll; a third 6 in the same turn voids the turn. Hints follow the AI level you picked.

Get a Second Token Moving
With only one token out, many rolls leave you one obvious move. Launch a second and the same number can suddenly offer a capture, a safe square, or a cleaner path home. Unless your leading token can capture or finish right away, getting a second token moving early usually leaves you better options later.

Count Their Next Roll
Before stopping off a safe square, count one to six spaces behind that point on the opponent's route. If one of their tokens can reach you next roll, that good-looking move may just send you back to base. A capture earns another roll, but it is still a bad trade if the same number could start the home stretch or finish instead.

What the AI Levels Feel Like
Beginner Opponent: Plays random legal moves, which makes it a simple way to learn launches, captures, and the path home.
Gentle Practice: Starts preferring better landing spots but still misses a stronger plan now and then.
Advanced Practice: Weighs capture value, return danger, active tokens, and progress home while looking ahead a few rolls.
Strong AI: Searches deeper and compares more positions, so coordinating all four tokens matters much more.
Play as Red or Yellow. Hints use the level you selected, and undo plus replay help you revisit risky captures and late races home. AI games and move records stay in this browser.
