Two-Player Ludo

Red to playHome0/0

Pass and Play Ludo

Put one phone, tablet, or computer between two people and start. There is no room to open, no sign-in, and no network to wait for. Red rolls first. If you are keeping score, agree on undo before game one and play two games so each person gets Red once.

Before Game One

Leave the device facing one way. Whoever is to move rolls first, then taps a highlighted token. Pass the screen only after the turn marker changes color.

If someone is new, two rules are enough for game one: a 6 leaves base, and all four tokens must reach home. Captures, extra rolls, and three sixes can wait until they come up.

Decide before the first roll whether undo is allowed. A fair scored set is two games, with each person taking Red once.

Roll, Move, Pass

The status bar shows Red or Yellow. Roll first. Only tokens that can use that number light up, and the move is not locked in until you choose one that can legally go. When the turn marker changes color, pass the device across.

Highlighted Means Legal

Most first-game arguments are about whether a 6 can leave base or whether a token must land exactly in home. The highlights already applied the rules. A highlighted token can move; that does not mean it is the best move.

Each Player Gets Red Once

Every single game starts with Red. If you are keeping score, play two games and swap colors in the second. The move list records every roll and token choice, so replay settles the turn when a token was sent back or a home entry was missed.
